چکیده
More and more researchers have discovered that the employment of anesthetics can lead to cognitive dysfunction brain. HOMER1A has been investigated neuroprotective effects. Sevoflurane (SEV) is most common inhaled anesthetic utilized in surgery, but role SEV-induced unclear. Thus, this study, SEV was our study for investigating HOMER1A. At first, rat model established through inhaling 2% SEV. Results from uncovered brain tissues SEV-treated rats were severely damaged, levels S-100β neuron-specific enolase (NSE) markedly elevated after treatment. Further showed exhibited lower expression SEV-mediated rats. In addition, ameliorated nerve injury deficit Moreover, improved inflammation suppressed SEV-stimulated microglial activation modulating M1/M2 polarization. Besides, activated Adenosine 5’-monophosphate (AMP)-activated protein kinase (AMPK) pathway reduce thioredoxin interacting (TXNIP) expression. Finally, rescue assays, inhibition AMPK (Compound C (CC) treatment) attenuated effects SEV-triggered summary, regulated microglia polarization restore activating AMPK/TXNIP axis.

Daming capsule restores endothelial dysfunction induced by high-fat diet
BACKGROUND Daming capsule (DMC), a traditional Chinese formula, has a lipid-modulating action with reduced adverse side effects as compared with other lipid lowering compounds. Since endothelial dysfunction often accompanies the hyperlipidemic state, we hypothesize that DMC might restore endothelial dysfunction produced by a high-fat (HF) diet. Importantly, we also investigate possible mechanis...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the influence of environmental enrichment (EE) on memory, cytokines, and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the brain of adult rats subjected to experimental pneumococcal meningitis during infancy. METHODS On postnatal day 11, the animals received either artificial cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) or Streptococcus pneumoniae suspension intracisternally at 1 × 10(6) CFU...
متن کاملP100: A Review of Postoperative Cognitive Dysfunction and Neuroinflammation Processes Induced by Anaesthesia
Although anaesthesia is generally effective, safe and also an indispensable preoperative clinical approach, there is a really growing concern about usage, form of usage and dosage of it. Postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) is one of the common postoperative complications that often affects elderly patients and includes a range of domains, may involve oxidative stress and neuroinflammatio...
متن کاملGallic acid protects the liver in rats against injuries induced by transient ischemia-reperfusion through regulating microRNAs expressions
Objective(s): Gallic acid (GA) is a highly effective antioxidant, which its beneficial effects are well known, but its impact on expression of microRNAs (miRs) following hepatic ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) is not well recognized. Therefore, the current research was designed to specify the beneficial effect of GA on miRs (122 and 34a), liver functional tests, and histopathological alterations bey...
متن کاملHomeostatic Scaling Requires Group I mGluR Activation Mediated by Homer1a
Homeostatic scaling is a non-Hebbian form of neural plasticity that maintains neuronal excitability and informational content of synaptic arrays in the face of changes of network activity. Here, we demonstrate that homeostatic scaling is dependent on group I metabotropic glutamate receptor activation that is mediated by the immediate early gene Homer1a. Homer1a is transiently upregulated during...
