New recording materials for the holographic industry
This paper describes a new class of recording materials for volume holographic applications suitable to meet commercial manufacturing needs. These next-generation holographic photopolymers have the ability to satisfy the unmet demand for color and depth tuning that is only possible with volume holograms. Unlike earlier holographic photopolymers, these new materials offer the advantages of no ch...
متن کاملTwo-center holographic recording
We describe a two-center holographic recording method for the storage of persistent holograms in doubly doped lithium niobate crystals. We use a two-center model, and we show that our experimental observations can be explained by the model. We describe experimental methods for finding the unknown material parameters of LiNbO3 :Fe:Mn crystals for the two-center model, and we discuss the optimiza...
متن کاملHolographic memory with localized recording.
We experimentally demonstrate and characterize a memory module that features selective page erasure and readout persistence using the localized recording method in doubly doped LiNbO(3). Pages of information can be selectively erased without partially erasing the whole memory. Data pages can be written over erased pages multiple times. Information is read millions of times before refreshing is ...
متن کاملRecent advances in holographic recording media for dynamic holographic display
An overview of the recent advances in the state-of-the-art holographic recoding media dedicated to the dynamic holography display is presented in this paper. Unlike the traditional holographic media, those materials enable the holograms to be updatable rather than permanent like before. Over the past few years, a number of material recipes for this use have been disclosed and can be mainly divi...
متن کاملSensitivity improvement in two-center holographic recording.
Persistent holograms are recorded with green light in LiNbO(3) crystals doped with Mn and Fe. The recording sensitivity is 20 times better than that obtained by recording with red light. Partial loss of persistence is caused by using green light for recording.
