Holographic Fermi surfaces in charge density wave from D2-D8

نویسندگان

چکیده

A bstract D2-D8 model admits a numerical solution that corresponds to charge density wave and spin wave. Considering as the background, we numerically solve Dirac equation for probe fermions. From solution, obtain Green’s function study behaviour of spectral density. We begin with generic fermions have studied formation Fermi surface where it develops gap. In addition, incorporated an ionic lattice its effect on surface. Then analysed worldvolume this particular do not find dual operators.

Comments on Holographic Fermi Surfaces

Recently, a mechanism for the development of a fermi surface in a holographic model of large N QCD with a baryon chemical potential was proposed. We examine similar constructions to determine when this mechanism persists. We find a class of models in which it does.

Atomistic picture of charge density wave formation at surfaces.

We used ultrafast electron diffraction and density-functional theory calculations to gain insight into the charge density wave (CDW) formation on In/Si(111). Weak excitation by a femtosecond-laser pulse results in the melting of the CDW. The immediate freezing is hindered by a barrier for the motion of atoms during the phase transition: The melted CDW constitutes a long-lived, supercooled phase...

Fermi surface nesting and charge-density wave formation in rare-earth tritellurides

The Fermi surface of rare-earth tritellurides sRTe3d is investigated in terms of the nesting-driven chargedensity wave formation using positron annihilation and first-principles linear muffin-tin orbital calculations. Fermi surface nesting is revealed as a strong candidate for driving charge-density wave formation in these compounds. The nesting vector obtained from positron annihilation experi...
