HIV infection and multiple drug resistant tuberculosis: the frequency of co-infection and treatment efficacy

The objective of the study: in Tomsk Region, to establish frequency multiple drug resistance (MDR) mycobacterium tuberculosis (MBT) new patients with reference their HIV status and assess treatment outcomes. Subjects methods. presented results were obtained from a retrospective cohort study 788 who registered for MDR TB at Phthisiopulmonology Medical Center January 2017 April 2019. Results. In level primary reaches 31.3% TB/HIV co-infection, while negative patients, this rate is 24.2%. incidence MDR/XDR MTB 40% among deceased co-infection. Treatment efficacy associated infection low – effective was achieved only 7.3% them. general (excluding data on antiretroviral therapy), significantly lower versus patients: 37.7% 61.9%, respectively, OR 0.38 [0.28; 0.50], p = 0.001.
