Back in Time Petri Nets

The time progress assumption is at the core of the semantics of real-time formalisms. It is also the major obstacle to the development of partial-order techniques for real-time distributed systems since the events are ordered both by causality and by their occurrence in time. Anyway, extended free choice safe time Petri nets (TPNs) were already identified as a class where partial order semantic...

Weak Time Petri Nets Strike Back!

We consider the model of Time Petri Nets where time is associated with transitions. Two semantics for time elapsing can be considered: the strong one, for which all transitions are urgent, and the weak one, for which time can elapse arbitrarily. It is well known that many verification problems such as the marking reachability are undecidable with the strong semantics. In this paper, we focus on...

From the Process Hitting to Petri Nets and Back

We define encodings of a Process Hitting into a Petri Net and conversely. It results notably that • the Process Hitting is a sub-class of Petri Nets; • any safe Petri Net can be encoded into a weakly-bisimilar Process Hittings with 3 priority classes. We finally discuss the use of the encoding of a Petri Net into a Process Hitting for providing efficient static analysis of dynamical properties.

Fighting back against chronic myelomonocytic leukemia

which permits unrestricted non-commercial use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) is a clonal hematopoietic disorder with features of both myeloproli-ferative neoplasm (MPN) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). Thus, CMML is classified as a mixed MDS/MPN disease by the World Health Organization (WHO)....
