چکیده
Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the histological and clinical outcomes intrabony defects treatment using regenerative periodontal therapy with enamel matrix proteins (Emdogain, EMD). Material And Method:Ten patients chronic periodontitis were included in randomized, controlled study. Two groups received conservative therapy. In test group, different teeth EMD. control group only was performed. following parameters recorded at baseline after 8 months: pocket probing depth (PD) examinations. Results:Both showed a significant reduction PD. treated EMD attachment gain. Within radiographic examination no change, whereas bone reduction. Conclusion:Treatment may lead substantially higher gains defect filling. use dental practice can prevent further loss.

Emdogain in regenerative periodontal therapy. A review of the literature.
The goal of regenerative periodontal therapy is the reconstitution of the lost periodontal structures (i.e. the new formation of root cementum, periodontal ligament and alveolar bone). Results from basic research have pointed to the important role of the enamel matrix protein derivative (EMD) in the periodontal wound healing. Histological results from animal and human studies have shown that tr...
متن کاملPeriodontal regenerative potential using enamel matrix proteins (EMDOGAIN®)
O ne way to attempt periodontal regeneration is to mimic the biologic processes involved in nascent tooth development, especially the development of the root and the supporting tissues. The EMDOGAIN® (BIORA AB, Malmö, Sweden) concept is based on the discovery that enamel matrix proteins are not only involved in enamel formation but also play a key role in the formation of acellular cementum [1,...

Three journals (Journal of Periodontology, Journal of Clinical Periodontology and Journal of Periodontal Research)...
متن کاملGingival crevicular fluid can degrade Emdogain and inhibit Emdogain-induced proliferation of periodontal ligament fibroblasts.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Emdogain (EMD), consisting mostly of amelogenin, is used in periodontal therapy to regenerate lost connective tissue. Emdogain is applied onto periodontally affected root surfaces, where it becomes exposed to proteolytic enzymes. In this study, we aimed to find out whether gingival crevicular fluid or matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) could degrade EMD, and whether this ...
