HIPERPLASIA PROSTÁTICA BENIGNA EM CÃO DA RAÇA PASTOR ALEMÃO: RELATO DE CASO

A hiperplasia prostática benigna (HPB) é uma afecção bastante comum que afeta cães de meia-idade a idosos, não castrados, geralmente sem sinais clínicos, necessitando tratamento imediato. O aumento da glândula pode causar compressão uretra e do cólon, causando constipação, dificuldade para urinar, se locomover infecção urinaria são os principais sintomas, quando presentes. Este trabalho tem como objetivo relatar sobre o caso HPB em um cão 9 anos idade, atendido na clínica veterinária Kin Casa Vet, no município Ji-Paraná Rondônia. diagnóstico foi realizado mediante exames complementares, ultrassonografia palpação retal. Como institui-se Orquiectomia com uso bisturi ultrassônico clínico Finasterida 5mg, por via oral, cada 24 horas, durante 15 dias. mg, vai agir inibidor enzima 5-alfa-redutase, vedando acúmulo di-hidrotestosterona próstata. Com 4 dias após primeira ultrassonografia, próstata paciente havia diminuído 0,4 cm, somente orquiectomia, oito cirurgia finasterida, 1,14 cm.
