Higher associativity of Moore spectra

چکیده
The Moore spectrum Mp(i) is the cofiber of pi map on sphere spectrum. For a fixed p and n, we find lower bound i for which guaranteed to be n-fold associative. This depends stable homotopy groups spheres.

Generalised Moore Spectra in a Triangulated Category
In this paper we consider a construction in an arbitrary triangulated category T which resembles the notion of a Moore spectrum in algebraic topology. Namely, given a compact object C of T satisfying some finite tilting assumptions, we obtain a functor which “approximates” objects from the module category of the endomorphism algebra of C in T . This generalises and extends a construction of Jør...
متن کاملAnalysis of Higher Order Moore-greitzer Compressor Models
In this paper we investigate the behavior of higher order Galerkin expansions of the Moore-Greitzer model of general transients in aeroengine compression systems. We assume steady state en-trainment of the higher Fourier modes of the rotating stall cell which establishes a framework for a simpli-ed numerical analysis of the bifurcating solutions corresponding to rotating stall. For small values...
متن کاملCommutative ring objects in pro-categories and generalized Moore spectra
We develop a rigidity criterion to show that in simplicial model categories with a compatible symmetric monoidal structure, operad structures can be automatically lifted along certain maps. This is applied to obtain an unpublished result of M. J. Hopkins that certain towers of generalized Moore spectra, closely related to the K(n)-local sphere, are E∞-algebras in the category of pro-spectra. In...
متن کاملAssociativity and Non-Associativity of Some Hypergraph Products
Several variants of hypergraph products have been introduced as generalizations of the strong and direct products of graphs. Here we show that only some of them are associative. In addition to the Cartesian product, these are the minimal rank preserving direct product, and the normal product. Counter-examples are given for the strong product as well as the non-rank-preserving and the maximal ra...
متن کاملPrincipal Domains of Higher-Order Spectra
A general procedure to determine the principal domain (i.e., nonredundant region of computation) of any higher-order spectrum is presented, using the bispectrum as an example. The procedure is then applied to derive the principal domain of the trispectrum of a real-valued, stationary time series. These results are easily extended to compute the principal domains of other higher-order spectra.
