چکیده

We present ultrabroadband two-beam femtosecond/picosecond coherent Raman spectroscopy on the ro-vibrational spectra of CO2 and O2, applied for multispecies thermometry relative concentration measurements in a standard laminar premixed hydrocarbon flame. The experimental system employs fs-laser-induced filamentation to generate compressed supercontinuum in-situ, resulting ∼24 fs full-width-at-half-maximum pump/Stokes pulse with sufficient bandwidth excite all transitions up 1600 cm-1. report simultaneous recording Q-branch O2 O-, Q- S-branch Stokes (CSRS) basis single-laser-shot. use as generation mechanism has advantage greatly simplifying setup, it avoids hollow-core fibres chirped mirrors deliver near-transform-limited at measurement location. Dual-pump vibrational/rotational femtosecond/picosecond coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering temperature and species measurements.

A method for simultaneous ro-vibrational and pure-rotational hybrid femtosecond/picosecond coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (fs/ps CARS) is presented for multi-species detection and improved temperature sensitivity from room temperature to flame conditions. N₂/CH₄ vibrational and N₂/O₂/H₂ rotational Raman coherences are excited simultaneously using fs pump pulses at 660 and 798 nm, respect...

Field-resolved coherent Raman spectroscopy of high frequency vibrational resonances.

Electric fields of coherent Raman signals are resolved with sensitivity for high-frequency vibrational resonances utilizing a four-pulse, trapezoidal beam geometry in a diffractive optic-based interferometer. Our experiments show that the heterodyne detected signal phase is stabilized for particular terms in the third-order response function by the cancellation of inter-pulse phases. The C-H st...

In situ high pressure-temperature Raman spectroscopy technique with laser-heated diamond anvil cells

We describe an in situ high pressure-temperature Raman technique for studying materials in laser-heated diamond anvil cells using a Nd:YLF laser s1053 nmd as the heating source and an ion laser as the Raman exciting source. Here we introduce the method of laser heating transparent samples using a metallic foil (Pt,Re, or W) as the laser absorber (internal heating furnace) in a diamond cell. The...

Terahertz beats of vibrational modes studied by femtosecond coherent Raman spectroscopy

2014 A recently developed femtosecond coherent Raman technique allows the measurement of Fourier transform coherent Raman spectra with high-frequency differences. The simultaneous excitation of different vibrational modes with a broad-band tunable driving force leads to a strong beating of the coherent Raman probe scattering. The high time resolution of the experimental set-up allows one to mea...

Temperature Measurements in Flames at 1000 Hz Using Femtosecond Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Spectroscopy

[Abstract] Single-laser-shot temperature measurements at a data rate of 1 kHz are demonstrated using femtosecond coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) spectroscopy. The excitation of gas-phase Raman lines with spectral widths of 3 GHz by pump and Stokes beams with spectral widths of 3000 GHz is very efficient provided that the pump and Stokes beams are Fouriertransform-limited. The singl...
