High RF power tests of the first 1.3 GHz fundamental power coupler prototypes for the SHINE project

Abstract The Shanghai High Repetition Rate XFEL and Extreme Light Facility (SHINE) project will use 600 1.3 GHz fundamental power couplers, which are modified based on TTF-III for continuous-wave operation with input up to approximately 7 kW. first batch of 20 sets coupler prototypes was fabricated from three domestic manufacturers the SHINE project. To better characterize radio frequency conditioning phenomena validating performance a room temperature test stand designed, constructed, commissioned couplers. In addition, horizontal cryostat built superconducting cavities, tuners, other components as set. results these tests indicate that couplers capable handling 14 kW continuous waves. Herein, main aspects design construction stand, along high-power described.
