چکیده

This study reports the dosimetric response of a (ZnO)0.2(TeO2)0.8 thin film sensor irradiated with high-energy X-ray radiation at various doses. The spray pyrolysis method was used for deposition on soda-lime glass substrate using zinc acetate dehydrate and tellurium dioxide powder as starting precursors. structural morphological properties were determined. I-V characteristics measurements performed during irradiation 6 MV beam from Linac. results revealed that XRD pattern AS-deposited is non-crystalline (amorphous) in nature. FESEM image shows non-uniform shape nanoparticles agglomerated separately, EDX spectrum presence Te, Zn, O film. indicate current density increases linearly doses (0-250 cGy) all applied voltages (1-6 V). sensitivity has been found to be range 0.37-0.94 mA/cm2 /Gy. current-voltage measurement test fading normalised percentage day 0 order > 15 30 1 2. These are expected beneficial fabricating cheap practical sensors.

Dosimetry of Occupational Radiation around Panoramic X-ray Apparatus

Background: Panoramic imaging is one of the most common imaging methods in dentistry. Regarding the side-effects of ionizing radiation, it is necessary to survey different aspects and details of panoramic imaging. In this study, we compared the absorbed x-ray dose around two panoramic x-ray units: PM 2002 CC Proline (Planmeca, Helsinki, Finland) and Cranex Tome (Soredex, Helsinki, Finland).<br ...

Energy-dispersive X-ray reflectivity and GID for real-time growth studies of pentacene thin films

We use energy-dispersive X-ray reflectivity and grazing incidence diffraction (GID) to follow the growth of the crystalline organic semiconductor pentacene on silicon oxide in-situ and in real-time. The technique allows for monitoring Bragg reflections and measuring X-ray growth oscillations with a time resolution of 1 min in a wide q-range in reciprocal space extending over 0.25–0.80 Å, i.e. s...

Nanostructure by high-energy X-ray diffraction

X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) has long been used to determine the atomic-scale structure of materials. This technique is based on the fact that the wavelength of X-rays is comparable to the distances between atoms in condensed matter. When a material exhibiting a long-range (i.e. at least micrometers), periodic atomic order, such as a crystal, is irradiated with X-rays it acts as an extended, well-de...

The high energy X-ray universe.

Since its beginning in the early 1960s, the field of X-ray astronomy has exploded, experiencing a ten-billion-fold increase in sensitivity, which brought it on par with the most advanced facilities at all wavelengths. I will briefly describe the revolutionary first discoveries prior to the launch of the Chandra and XMM-Newton X-ray observatories, present some of the current achievements, and of...

Dosimetry in x-ray-based breast imaging

The estimation of the mean glandular dose to the breast (MGD) for x-ray based imaging modalities forms an essential part of quality control and is needed for risk estimation and for system design and optimisation. This review considers the development of methods for estimating the MGD for mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) and dedicated breast CT (DBCT). Almost all of the methodolo...
