High-Energy Extragalactic Neutrino Astrophysics

The detection of an astrophysical flux neutrinos in the TeV-PeV energy range by IceCube observatory has opened new possibilities for study extreme cosmic accelerators. apparent isotropy neutrino arrival directions favors extragalactic origin this flux, potentially created a large population distant sources. Recent evidence emission from sources include active galaxies TXS 0506+056 and NGC 1068. We here review current status search high-energy concentrating on its contribution. discuss implications these observations multimessenger studies present outlook how additional future instruments will help address fundamental questions emerging field astronomy.
