چکیده
In Western Africa, the growth of cities has led to natural resource pollution, especially air pollution. Urban forests play a key role in filtering atmospheric particles and pollutants through canopy before reaching soil. This study aims quantify heavy metal fluxes an urban forest district Abidjan order assess its protection resources. A monitoring wet deposition (throughfall open field rain) litterfall was carried out for six months National Floristic Center located Abidjan, C?te d’Ivoire. The results show that soil this is ferralsol type characterized by sandy-clay texture low load coarse elements. annual estimated 12.16 ± 0.71 t·ha-1·yr-1, similar other tropical forests. Annual quantities rain throughfall are range rainfall recorded (2013 152 1773 51 mm). Chemical analyses showed litter contain Mn, Zn, Ni, Cr, Cd Hg. Manganese Zn most abundant elements Hg least both litter. main source input metals into associated with biological recycling contributes 109 times greater than carry depositions (open throughfall). However, detailed constitutes barrier transfer indicated decrease content from throughfall. Consequently, recommends creation maintenance increase biomass improve quality West African undergoing constant change development.

Heavy Metal Accumulation in Urban Soil: a Phytoextraction Method Review
Lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), and arsenic (As) are three common non-essential heavy metals found in urban soils and can prove toxic to animals, humans, and some plants at low concentrations. The main exposure pathways of heavy metals in humans are through ingestion and inhalation of soil particles and ingestion of contaminated food. When dealing with contaminated soil in urban environments, activiti...

The current paper determines heavy metals in sediments of six freshwater wetlands of greater Dhaka district from November 1999 to September 2000. The sampling took place in summer, rainy season, and winter, wherein for each season five soil samples were collected from the wetland at a depth of 0 – 15 cm. To assess the status of heavy metal pollution in the sediments, geo-accumulation factor (Ig...

This study investigated heavy metals in soils and agricultural products near an industrial district in Dongguan City. The concentrations of Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd, Hg, and As in soil and agricultural products from vegetable and banana fields were determined. Results indicated that except for Zn in one sample and Cd in five samples, the majority of the samples were notably enriched by heavy metals compa...

To investigate the soil heavy metal pollution characteristics and ecological risk factors, 42 samples and six typical soil profiles were collected from the Shenyang industrial district in northeast China and were analyzed for contents of titanium (Ti), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), zinc (Zn), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr) and arsenic (As). Through statistical analysis, it was found that the...
