Heatwave Impact on Mortality and Morbidity and Associated Vulnerable Factors: A Systematic Review Protocol

Introduction: Heatwave can increase the risk for heat-related illnesses and mortality. Many studies showed certain population are vulnerable to heatwave such as elderly, children low-income households. However, findings were inconsistent. Therefore, this systematic review provides a comprehensive on impact vulnerability factors mortality morbidity impacts. Methodology: Five electronic databases (Pubmed, Ebsco Host, WOS, OVID Medline Scopus) primary searching tools retrieve relevant literatures. This used Medical Subject Heading (MESH) terms keywords. An additional tool (Google Scholar) was seek further information minimize missed evidence. We selected literature based inclusion criteria (empirical full-text article, English language published between 2010-2021). Two authors assigned in each step of process, starting from screening title, abstract full text criteria, data extraction quality appraisal. Mixed-Method Appraisal Tool (MMAT) utilized assess articles. Thematic analysis narrative approach describe findings. Conclusion: presents evidence-based regarding associated groups better understanding effective preventive measure planning reduce health. Prospero registration number: CRD42021232847
