چکیده

Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) is a widespread additive manufacturing technology in industrial applications, for metal components manufacturing. Maraging steel special class of Fe-Ni alloys, typically used the aerospace and tooling sectors due to their good combination mechanical strength toughness. This work analyses heat treatment effect on microstructure hardness value 300-grade maraging manufactured by L-PBF process. The considered consists solution annealing followed quenching ageing hardening treatment. temperature reported, wide range. Results show that fully dissolves solidification structure caused Moreover, has significant impact hardness, hence strength, steel. optimal conditions are identified reported: particular, results 583 HV achieved following at 490 °C 6 hours. A higher leads over-ageing resulting decrease hardness. Conversely, an excessive time does not seem affect value, °C.

Effect of Heat Treatment Parameters on the Mechanical and Microstructure Properties of Low-Alloy Steel

This study examines the effect of heat treatment at three different temperatures of 800 ̊C, 950 ̊C and 1100 ̊C on the microstructure and mechanical properties of low-alloy steel with an addition of manganese, chrome and lead. To determine an impact of the applied heat treatment operations, testing of mechanical properties and microstructural examinations of the steel with 0.23%, 0.24%, 0.29% and 0...

The Effect of a Two-Stage Heat-Treatment on the Microstructural and Mechanical Properties of a Maraging Steel

Maraging steels gain many of their beneficial properties from heat treatments which induce the precipitation of intermetallic compounds. We consider here a two-stage heat-treatment, first involving austenitisation, followed by quenching to produce martensite and then an ageing treatment at a lower temperature to precipitation harden the martensite of a maraging steel. It is shown that with a su...

Effect of Heat Treatment on Microstructure, Magnetic and Mechanical Properties of HSLA-100

In this study, the effects of various heat treatments on microstructure, mechanical and magnetic properties of HSLA-100 steel were evaluated. The heat treatments consisted of austenitizing at 900°C for 60 minutes, then quenching by different cooling rates via furnace, air, oil and water; and quenched specimens were aged at 600°C for one hour. Optical and field emission scanning electron m...
