چکیده
Abstract Heat transfer from inner surface of a vertical heated pipe to subcooled or saturated liquid hydrogen flowing upward was measured for quasi-steadily increasing heat input up fully developed film boiling regime and decreasing the through regime. The experiments were carried out at inlet pressures 400, 700 1100 kPa subcoolings 0 K 11 K. Three test heaters made SS310S with diameters 6 8 mm lengths 100 200 mm used. Experimental data non-boiling down minimum obtained record mass flow rate by continuously input. It observed that though decreases increase generation rate, coefficient increases. Discussions on in inverted annular flow, dispersed droplet single-phase vapor regimes their changing conditions one clarify phenomena. A calculation code characteristics based discussions. calculated results are good agreement experimental results.

Heat Transfer and Carryover in the Dryout of a Heated Vertical Tube
This work concerns dryout experiments in which a tube, initially containing water, filled up or partially filled and at 1,2 or 3 atmosphere pressures, is heated. The initial water column experience three thermal regions. The first region, called the first period, involves heating of the tube until saturation conditions are obtained in the water. Boiling of the water in the tube causes swelling ...

The single-phase flow and thermal performance of a double pipe heat exchanger are examined by experimental methods. The working fluid is water at atmospheric pressure. Temperature measurements at the inlet and outlet of the two streams and also at an intermediate point half way between the inlet and outlet is made, using copper-constantan thermocouple wires. Mass flow rates for each stream are ...
متن کاملHeat Transfer Characteristics during Boiling of Immiscible Liquids Flowing in Narrow Rectangular Heated Channels
The use of immiscible liquids for cooling of surfaces with high heat generation density is proposed based on the experimental verification of its superior cooling characteristics in fundamental systems of pool boiling and flow boiling in a tube. For the purpose of practical applications, however, heat transfer characteristics due to flow boiling in narrow rectangular channels with different sma...
متن کاملAn experimental investigation of heat transfer of Fe2O3/Water nanofluid in a double pipe heat exchanger
One way to increase the heat transfer is to use perforated twisted tapes with different hole diameters, which largely improve heat transfer with an increase in the heat transfer area at the constant volume and more mixed flow. In the previous studies, the effect of nanofluids with perforated twisted tapes is less studied. In this work, the performance of water / iron oxide nanofluid in a double...
