Abstract Background Although strong association between self-reported health and coronary heart disease (CHD) exists, related quality of life (HRQOL) has not been conceptualized as a predictor for fatality in CHD patients. We investigated whether HRQOL may predict the risk death six years Methods There were overall, 614 cases national representative Chronic Diseases Risk Factors Survey Turkey, 2011. Baseline data on EuroQol- 5 Dimension (EQ-5D) Visual Analog Scale (VAS) used from same survey. The followed-up all-cause specific (ICD-10 diagnostic codes: I20- I25) through electronic records by 2017. Kaplan Meier Cox regression models analysis. Age sex adjusted HRs [aHR 95% CIs] estimated having some or extreme problems EQ5D domains VAS. Results Median follow-up (IQR) was 6.46 (6.39-6.47). number deaths all causes 103 26, respectively. statistically significant usual activities [2.48 (95%CI 1.60-3.83)], pain/comfort [2.28 (95% CI 1.44-3.62)], self-care [2.25 1.46-3.46)] mobility [1.85 1.16-2.96)]. [3.45 1.48-8.07)] [3.07(95% 1.19-7.93)]. VAS negatively associated with overall fatality. Conclusions In cases, poor self reported might be good indicator 6 years.
