The global cancer burden has increased, and about 9.6 million cancer-related deaths were recorded in 2018. Genetic makeup, unhealthy lifestyle, urbanization, obesity, dietary preferences are key risk factors associated with incidence development. Next to lung cancer, colorectal is the most perilous type terms of mortality rate. Diet plays a major role risk. consumption vegetables, unprocessed cereals, fish product, fermented foods lower risk, while raw processed red meats refined increased anti-cancer properties their possible mechanisms summarized this review.
