Harvest date estimation of ‘Gala’ apples based on environment temperature using artificial intelligence

Agroclimatic variables in different time windows were analyzed using Artificial Intelligence techniques to estimate the fruit growing season extension and harvest start date for âGalaâ apples (Malus domestica (Suckow) Borkh.) Meteorology phenology data collected from five orchards Central Chile, between 2004 2019. The attributes derived air temperature during first days of showed high relationship with date: number hours below 18 °C full bloom 35 d after (R = 0.9) degree accumulated 45 -0.84). Different models developed these attributes. Simple multiple linear regression most accurate explain length total growth period until harvest. window was effective, an R2 0.82, estimating apples.
