Harmonic Radar With Adaptively Phase-Coherent Auxiliary Transmitters

چکیده

In harmonic radar (HR), the radio frequency transmitter illuminates a nonlinear target (the tag), causing return signal to consist of harmonics at multiples transmitted carrier frequency. Of them, second is usually strongest and one which receiver tuned. This difference distinguishes tag reflection from environmental clutter, remains uplink (transmitter tag) However, passive nature HR tags severely limits reflected power, therefore range downlink (tag receiver) path. We propose increase and/or noise ratio (SNR) by novel restructuring physical levels. For this, we accompany original with auxiliary transmitters able send simple tones that are synchronized arrive in phase, design detect an intermodulation component. The resulting SNR much greater than those original, conventional system, even if system were transmit power equal aggregate our new system. Achieving mutually coherent, i.e., arrival focus present paper. provide framework models downlink, then adaptive phase coherence algorithm analyze probabilistic growth output power. also account for effects shifts due mobility offset errors local oscillators.

Contribution of Auxiliary Coherent Radar Receiver to Target’s Velocity Estimation

Recent progress in bistatic radar techniques can be used to improve performances of classical monostatic radar. A prominent limitation of coherent radar is its inability to measure the complete velocity vector (magnitude and direction) of a detected target. A single coherent detection can provide range-rate only. At least two detections, separated in time, are needed to estimate the target’s ve...

Radar Imaging with Independently Moving Transmitters and Receivers

In this paper we present an analytic filtered-backpropagation inversion method for radar imaging when the transmitters and receivers are moving along independent flight paths. The flight paths are arbitrary, but assumed known. We assume a singlescattering model for the radar data, and we assume that the ground topography is known. We assume, in addition, that the receiver can correctly associat...

On the Coherent Phase Noise of Millimeter - Wave Doppler Radar

The phase noise is a very important index to wireless system, especially in millimeter-wave continuous wave radar systems. The phase noise of the signal, which is firstly leaked from transmitter and then mixed to intermediate frequency band by the local oscillator (Tx-IF), will worsen the sensitivity of superheterodyne radar system used for Doppler velocity detection. In this paper, the coheren...
