Hanle Effect with Angle-dependent Partial Frequency Redistribution in Three-dimensional Media

Abstract There has been a constant improvement in the observational measurement of linear polarization chromospheric spectral lines last three decades. However, modeling polarized profiles these still remains incomplete, due to lack inclusion fundamental physics efforts. To model observed solar spectrum and its polarization, we need solution radiative transfer equation. The strong resonance originates from scattering mechanism known as partial frequency redistribution (PFR) an anisotropic radiation field. understanding spatially resolved structures needs solutions multidimensional geometries. In this paper, explore effects angle-dependent PFR on formed three-dimensional (3D) media. We find that 3D geometry combined with produces more than angle-averaged one.
