چکیده
Introduction Detection of early arthropathy is crucial for the management haemophilia, but data on moderate haemophilia are limited. Therefore, we evaluated joint health and treatment modalities in Nordic patients with A (MHA) B (MHB). Aim To explore compare Haemophilia Early Arthropathy Ultrasound (HEAD-US) Joint Health Score (HJHS) to detect haemophilia. Methods cross-sectional, multicentre study covering MHA MHB. was by HEAD-US HJHS 2.1. Results We assessed 693 joints 118 patients. scores (medians [interquartile ranges]) were as follows: elbows 0 points (0–0), knees (0–0) ankles (0–1). Respectively, HJHS: (0–1), (0–1) Cartilage (14%) bone (13%) most commonly affected HEAD-US. Frequent findings crepitus motion (39%), loss flexion (23%) extension ankles. correlated strongly (elbows r = .70, .60 .65), 24% had discordant scores. Joints zero points, 5% captured ≥1 point. Moreover, 26% without pathology. Notably, 31% normal Conclusion Overall, attained low implying good health. HJHS. In 5%, detected subclinical Crepitus frequently reported despite HEAD-US, thus not necessarily reflecting arthropathy. therefore improves assessment

Hip Arthropathy in Haemophilia
Hip arthropathy in haemophilic patients is disabling for hip and other common target joints. Even if bleedings in the hip are not frequent, femoroacetabular alterations may affect the functional ability of patients at a very young age. A haematologic prophylaxis combined with an adequate lifestyle and regular and low-traumatic physical activity are the keys to preventing such arthropathy. In th...
متن کاملDiagnostic ultrasound in haemophilia.
Ultrasound examination has been recommended for the evaluation of acute haemorrhages into soft tissues or joints in haemophilic patients. We have reviewed the notes of all such patients admitted during one calendar year and find that in 47 separate admissions the ultrasound examination assisted management decisions on 27 occasions. The technique is described with an analysis of the ways in whic...

This review focuses on selected areas that should interest both the scientist and the clinician alike: polymorphisms within the factor VIII and factor IX genes, their linkage, and their ethnic variation; a general assessment of mutations within both genes and a detailed inspection of the molecular pathology of certain mutations to illustrate the diverse cause-effect relations that exist; a summ...
متن کامل[Upper ankle joint prostheses in haemophilia patients].
UNLABELLED Secondary arthrosis of the upper ankle joint (talocalcanean joint) is one of the most frequent forms of haemophilic arthropathy. It is a secondary form of arthrosis not only because of chronic synovitis and cartilage injury resulting from chronic recurrent intraarticular bleeds, but also due to the misalignment of the joint and abnormal joint stress. The consequences are manifest eve...
