چکیده

Haemagogus leucocelaenus (Diptera: Culicidae) is considered the primary vector of yellow fever virus (Flaviviridae) in wild environments South America. Previous research has defined Hg. as a species with phytotelmata-type breeding sites. The objective this study was to report temporal and space occurrence at microscale wild-periurban fringe through systematic spatially stratified sampling using 81 ovitraps between April 2019 February 2 020 locality Puerto Iguazú, Argentina. Of total ovitraps, eight were positive for leucocelaenus, six environment two periurban environment. Regarding time distribution, 98.5% concentrated November December towards beginning rainy season. results confirm habitat plasticity establish aptitude artificial containers methodology monitoring studies, since they illustrate potential populations deposit fertile eggs them least up 300 m from fringe. This work contribution determine risk transmission region, based on distribution patterns function ecotone associated forest borders climatic variables.
