Habituation and Connectionism of Islamic Education at Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools in Indonesia

This study aims to determine the concept of PAI learning in elementary schools; theory behaviorism by E.L. Thorndike; and how is Torndike’s implemented at level. The research methodology used preparation this article a qualitative method. Sources data are obtained collecting facts field through observation interviews. analysis technique triangulation which includes stages presentation, reduction, concluding. results showed that: 1) Elementary school subjects had their curriculum with content Qur’an, creed, worship, morality, fiqh, SKI. 2) Thorndike often known as connectionism, that focuses on stimulus response process. 3) implementation behavioristic can be applied SDIT Alam Al-Hikmah Magelang, among others, providing motivation, encouragement, practice questions, or rewards punishments when educators/teachers carry out teaching activities religious materials such tahfidz, funeral prayer.
