H-Shaped Slot Antenna with Harmonic Tuning Function and Integrated Power Amplifier

This study proposes a patch antenna with an H-shaped slot direct matching and harmonic tuning (rejection) functions for microwave power transfer. enables integrated active in which the amplifier are directly connected without using circuit fundamental frequency rejection filter to improve efficiency of amplifier. The design also reduces total size antenna, allowing higher-density array antenna. Characteristic mode analysis was performed explain working principle function. designed at 5.8 GHz fabricated its magnitude reflection coefficient proposed −40.4 dB amplification device optimum load impedance 100 Ohm. At second frequency, phase were −0.79 −177.6°, respectively; third they −0.92 −179.5°, respectively. Finally, into verify that it achieved similar drain as when tuner. It confirmed function increases by 5.5%. measurements revealed this is suitable use transfer because harmonic-processing capabilities.
