Guest editorial: Brain-computer-interface inspired communications

Following the massive commercialization of 5G mobile communication systems, both academia and industry are initiating research activities to shape next-generation namely, 6G. Although detailed killer-applications key technologies 6G have not been clearly defined yet, it is commonly expected that will provide hyper-coverage hyper-connectivity. Enabled by these capabilities, systems especially aiming at improving user's experience greatly, or more ambitiously, change way human's everyday life. So far, many new services with stringent requirements, such as truly immersive extended reality (XR), high-fidelity hologram, digital replica, be satisfied systems.
