چکیده

Solution growth approach was used to create N,N՛-Diphenylguanidinium Nicotinate Monohydrate (DPGNH) single crystals with a fine habitat. X-ray diffraction examination of crystal revealed the structural characteristics. Density Functional Theory (DFT) investigations were carried out divulge structural, spectral, Frontier Molecular Orbitals (FMO’s) and Non-Linear Optical (NLO) properties at molecular level. The structure DPGNH optimized utilizing B3LYP/6-31G (d,p) level theory. This further examine computed UV-vis spectra. FMO’s explored known about electron transfer within molecule. In order shed light on Second Harmonic Generation (SHG) level, NLO characteristics evaluated using DFT. By Kurtz-Perry powder approach, experimental examined.

Galerkin Finite-Element Method for the Analysis of the Second Harmonic Generation in Wagon Wheel Fibers

The nonlinear effects of the second harmonic generation have been investigated for the propagation of light along the axis of fibers of wagon wheel cross sectional shape. Nodal finite element formulation is utilized to obtain discretized Helmholtz equations under appropriate boundary conditions. The hierarchical p-version nodal elements are used for meshing the cross section of wagon wheel fibe...

The structural origin of second harmonic generation in fascia

Fascia tissue is rich in collagen type I proteins and can be imaged by second harmonic generation (SHG) microscopy. While identifying the overall alignment of the collagen fibrils is evident from those images, the tridimensional structural origin for the observation of SHG signal is more complex than it apparently seems. Those images reveal that the noncentrosymmetric (piezoelectric) structures...

Microscopic modeling of second harmonic generation in quantum cascade lasers

During the last 20 years since the first Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) [1] there has been substantial development. The long-wavelength limit exploiting intersubband transitions below the reststrahlenband with frequencies in the terahertz range [2] is currently an area of active research but efforts are also being made in the opposite direction towards the short-wavelength limit. As the lasing is ...

Second-harmonic generation

The goal of this experiment in nonlinear optics is to study the conversion of a (very small) fraction of laser light from its original wavelength of 980 nm (i.e. invisible to the naked eye) to its second-harmonic at a wavelength of 490 nm. This conversion takes place by mild focussing of an intense laser beam in a nonlinear birefringent crystal of BBO (= β BaBO4). You will study the physical pr...
