چکیده
This study was conducted to determine the dietary effect of graded levels unripe plantain peel meal on growth performance and internal organs broiler chickens. One hundred five (105) day-old unsexed Arbor Acre chicks were used in a56-day feeding trial. The birds assigned 5 treatments (T1- T5) with a total 21 per treatment replicated three times 7 replicate completely randomized design (CRD). T1 control diet which contained 0% peels 100% palm kernel cake, T2 25% 75% T3 50% T4 cake while T5 peelsand cake. Feed water given ad libitum for 8 weeks experiment lasted.Resultsshowed that at starter phase diets had significant (P<0.05) live weight, daily weight gain, feed intake. During finisher replacement hadno (P>0.05) protein intake, efficiency ratio conversion. both phases decreased as level (UPPM) increased. Unripe did not show negative liver, bile volume caecum but all other parameters significantly (p<0.05) affected by diet. In conclusion, could conveniently replace Palm chickens without any deleterious is recommended. Growth Performance Meat Yield and Profitability of Broiler Chickens Fed Diets Incorporating Cassava Tuber Meal
A total of sixty, 14-day old broiler chickens (Cobb-500) of either sex were used in this study to assess the effects of processed cassava tuber meals (0, 15, 30, and 45 gkg) on growth responses, meat yield, and profitability of boilers; rearing from day 14 to day 33 of ages. The experimental diets were iso-caloric and iso-nitrogenous in nature, and were supplied the broilers ad libitum througho...
متن کاملGrowth performance of broiler chickens fed diets containing shea nut (Vitellaria paradoxa, Gaertn.) meal fermented with Aspergillus niger.
Shea nut meal is a by-product of the shea fat industry in West Africa. The objective was to determine the effect of shea nut meal fermentation using Aspergillus niger on growth performance of broiler chickens. An expeller shea nut meal was fermented in a closed plastic container for 8 d after the addition of 0.25 g of A. niger spores per kg of shea nut meal in 2 parts of water. Each of the 2 sh...

We evaluated the effects of dietary Carum copticum essential oil (CCEO) on growth performance, carcass characteristics and intestinal microflora of broiler chickens. A total of 240 Cobb broiler chickens were allocated to five dietary treatments, each with four replicates of 12 birds. Dietary treatments were prepared by formulating a corn-soybean meal-based diet free of antibiotics (Control) and...
