چکیده
The effect of mulberry leaves that contain vitamin B1on the growth and productivity silkworms (Bombyx mori L.) was studied. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with treatments were 10 silkworm feed an untreated control addition 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 0.4 mg/100ml B1. Every treatment consisted 3 replications. results showed B1 inhibited growth, morphological structure instars III, IV such as head length, diameter, body weight V, percentage cocoon shell. Vitamin has no on structures IV, pupae weight, fiber percentage, shell weight. However, frontal posterior glands decreased at concentration

The research work was carried out to evaluate and compare the growth performance and productivity of a strain of silkworm, Bombyx mori (EC1) fed with three different varieties of mulberry plant (K2, S-36 and E-Lobe).The experiment was carried out at ambient conditions 37oC and 55% R.H. The parameters used to evaluate the growth performance were larval length, width and weight while the characte...
متن کاملScreening Strains of the Mulberry Silkworm, Bombyx mori, for Thermotolerance
A tropical climate prevails in most of the sericultural areas in India, where temperature increases during the summer lead to adverse effects on temperate bivoltine silkworm rearing and cause crop losses. Screening for thermotolerance in the silkworm, Bombyxmori L. (Lepidoptera: Bombycidae) is an essential prerequisite for the development of thermotolerant breeds/hybrids. In the current study, ...
متن کاملInfluence of Moisture Content of Mulberry Leaf on Growth and Silk Production in Bombyx mori L.
The influence of moisture content of mulberry leaf on the growth, development and moisture build up in the body of silkworm was studied by feeding with different maturity leaves to late age of silkworm larvae. Significantly higher larval moisture (79.78%), larval weight (65.65 g), pupal moisture (73.81%) was recorded in top tender leaf (high moisture) fed batches and least was recorded in the c...
متن کاملBotanicals against Nuclear Polyhedrosis Virus infecting three breeds of mulberry silkworm, Bombyx mori L
Mulberry silkworm, Bombyx mori L, most valued for silk and other medicinal products is prone to various biotic stresses among which the disease caused by Nuclear Polyhedrosis Virus (BmNPV) is most serious as it occurs throughout the year causing losses to the tune of 30-40 per cent. Studies conducted on eco friendly management of the disease using botanicals revealed that 800 ppm hexane leaf ex...
متن کاملEffect of Antibiotic Administration on Growth and Development of Silk Gland in Mulberry Silkworm (bombyx Mori L.)
Nutrition is the important physiological process, which plays a prime role in the growth and in turn it affects the productivity of the silkworm. The supplementation of different materials along with mulberry leaves to silkworm results higher yield because the production of quality silk mainly depends on larval nutrition. The influence of antibiotic on growth and development of silkworm larva a...
