چکیده
Hydrogeological mapping is a key tool for groundwater resource management. Generally, hydrogeological maps focus mainly on porous or karst aquifer at large scale. In fractured-rock aquifer, the flow path not immediately deductible due to intrinsic complexity of fracture systems. Then, it crucial importance collecting complete dataset describing site interest: fault and strata patterns, geomorphological features, occurrence springs. Here we present map 1:10,000 scale fractured rock Conglomerate Portofino (Italy). The graphical information contained in this based authors’ field survey revision papers written academic purposes technical reports. aim research achieve useful land planning, conservation geo-hydrological risk reduction unique area Natural Park Portofino.

Evolution of Uranium Isotopic Compositions of the Groundwater and Rock in a Sandy-Clayey Aquifer
Uranium isotopes have been used as mechanistic or time scale tracers of natural processes. This paper describes the occurrence and redistribution of U in the Vendian aquifer of a paleo-valley in NW Russia. Forty-four rock samples were collected from nine boreholes with depths up to 160 m, and 25 groundwater samples were collected from 23 boreholes with depths up to 300 m. The U, Fe concentratio...
متن کاملRemediation of a Fractured Rock Aquifer Containing Trichloroethylene Dense Nonaqueous Phase Liquid
Extensive chlorinated solvent contamination, including trichloroethylene (TCE) dense nonaqueous phase liquid (DNAPL), was found in ground water at a Navy Installation Restoration Program site on a former Navy property in Pennsylvania. Ground water at the site is encountered in the Triassic age Stockton Formation, which consists of gently dipping, alternating sandstone and mudstone units. Ground...
متن کاملHydrogeologic Characterization of Fractured Rock Formations: A Guide for Groundwater Remediators
A field site was developed in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, California, to develop and test a multidisciplinary approach to the characterization of ground-water flow and transport in fractured rocks. Nine boreholes were drilled into the granitic bedrock, and a wide variety of instruments and methodologies were tested. Fracture properties were measured on outcrops and in boreholes using ac...
متن کاملSurface Water–groundwater Interaction in the Fractured Sandstone Aquifer Impacted by Mining-induced Subsidence: 2. Hydrogeochemistry
Water quality along the Waratah Rivulet in the Woronora Lake Catchment, New South Wales (NSW), Australia, has been monitored during the last three years by the Sydney Catchment Authority. Water quality data shows changes in chemical composition due to cracking of streambeds and rockbars, and diversion of surface water into subsurface routes in the Hawkesbury Sandstone aquifer. Water quality ups...
متن کاملAnalysis of the balance of groundwater resources in order to study the stress on the aquifer in arid areas
In this study the recharge and discharge of Isfahan-borkhar aquifer was investigated. This leads to long-term management of the aquifer and will make appropriate decisions by planners. The results of this study showed that the water table was constantly decreasing over the selected statistical period. The water table level was reduced by 0.46m per year, which reflects the fact that the aquifer ...
