Grid Feature-Based Weighted Simulation Method for Multi-Objective Reliability-Based Design Optimization

Abstract Reliability analysis and reliability-based design have attracted huge attention since their origin, especially in the engineering optimization field. Integrating a novel grid feature (GF) mechanism into weighted simulation method (WSM), feature-based (GFWSM) is proposed this paper. By sorting samples random variable space, GF serializes failure probability calculation process, which can reduce number of performance function evaluations required by WSM. The GFWSM integrated an efficient evolutionary multi-objective optimizer, disruption-based equilibrium algorithm (DMOEOA), for solving (MORBDO) problems. Different reliability examples are employed to verify advantages GFWSM. Various constrained problems been selected test effectiveness GFWSM-DMOEOA algorithm. results indicate that achieved good balance between accuracy efficiency.
