Greywater Vertical Treatment and Possibility of Reuse in the Fields from Peri-Urban Area

This study highlighted the potential for greywater reuse in irrigation of olive trees. An experimental field was set up a household Soukra, located northwest Tunis City, to test performance vertical treatment. Treated (TGW) used two tree varieties (Chétoui and Picholine) during five years. The results show high treatment, as reflected by good quality TGW. chemical biological parameters this TGW are under threshold values Tunisian Norms Wastewaters agriculture use (NT106.03). BOD5 average decreased from 160.44 mg O2/L UGW (Untreated greywater) 15.32 COD recorded reduction 290.15 49.58 removal rate 90% 83% COD, proving increases height, diameter, production significantly trees irrigated with treated (ITGW), compared those not natural conditions. In regard, present has shown promising potentials agriculture.
