چکیده
In this study, the applicability of factorial design to treatment greywater (GW) containing dodecyl-benzene sulfonic acid (LAS) by electrochemical advanced oxidation processes (EAOPs) is demonstrated. At bench scale, anodic with electrogenerated H2O2 (AO-H2O2) and photoelectro Fenton (PEF) were studied following a 23 central point insertion, using first-order mathematical polynomial. former process, combination boron-doped diamond (BDD) anode carbon-PTFE air-diffusion cathode, both 3 cm2, yielded 76% degradation LAS at 40 mg L−1 along 52% TOC removal under optimized conditions. The PEF process 5 Fe2+ current density 77.5 mA cm−2 allowed attaining 63% 78% abatement. best conditions found for according design, in terms concentration density, applied 10 L raw GW solar (SPEF) compound parabolic collector (CPC) as reactor filter-press cell. A 70% 55% mineralization attained after 240 min treatment. Artemia salina toxicity tests performed effluents resulting from different methods optimum conditions, SPEF was proven be most effective promising EAOP reduction toxicity.

Electrochemical treatment of Acid Red 1 by electro-Fenton and photoelectro-Fenton processes
Small volumes (100 mL) of acidic aqueous solutions with 30-200 mg L TOC of the toxic azo dye Acid Red 1 (AR1) have been comparatively treated by various electrochemical advanced oxidation processes (EAOPs). The electrolytic system consisted of a BDD anode able to produce OH and an air-diffusion cathode that generated H2O2, which subsequently reacted with added Fe to yield additional OH from Fen...

متن کاملComparative Study of Oxidation of Some Azo Dyes by Different Advanced Oxidation Processes: Fenton, Fenton-Like, Photo-Fenton and Photo-Fenton-Like
This study makes a comparison between Fenton, Fenton-like, photo-Fenton and photo-Fenton-like treatment methods to investigate the removal of two acid dyes. The two selected acid dyes are C.I. Acid Orange 8 (AO8) and C.I. Acid Red 17 (AR17). These were chosen as model organic contaminants. The effect of operating parameters, such as amount of Fenton’s reagent (H2O2 and Fe) and Fenton’s-like rea...
