The fashion industry is now in the eye of storm for what concerns sustainability because enormous impact that such a business area has on environment. To exploit full potential circular economy implementation, requires urgent changes adapting much more conscientious practices, driving consumers to change their perceptions and behaviours towards products services. renunciation greenwashing practices use strategy focused regaining consumer’s trust will increase positive sentiment brands. This work demonstrates extent may jeopardise addressing challenges related implementation sustainable context designing with intention recycle, reduction by-products, lower energy consumption wise purchase habits. study provides guides brands about risks gains industry. sketches also future research opportunities holistic approach products’ life cycle how this can be translated into clear, transparent, or reliable certification schemes prevent misleading dishonest marketing strategies helping make responsible choice.
