Mixed Valence Model for Superconductivity
Superconductivity often occurs in crystals with one active electron per site with charge density wave (CDW) or spin density wave (SDW) as ’mother state’. It is proposed that superconductivity is possible when the differences in equilibrium geometry and energy between the diabatic CDW and SDW states are so small that there is interaction between them via the zero point vibrations. Electron pairi...
متن کاملGreen Function Simulation of Hamiltonian Lattice Models with Stochastic Reconfiguration
We apply a recently proposed Green Function Monte Carlo to the study of Hamiltonian lattice gauge theories. This class of algorithms computes quantum vacuum expectation values by averaging over a set of suitable weighted random walkers. By means of a procedure called Stochastic Reconfiguration the long standing problem of keeping fixed the walker population without a priori knowledge on the gro...
متن کاملA computational method for nonlinear mixed Volterra-Fredholm integral equations
In this article the nonlinear mixed Volterra-Fredholm integral equations are investigated by means of the modied three-dimensional block-pulse functions (M3D-BFs). This method converts the nonlinear mixed Volterra-Fredholm integral equations into a nonlinear system of algebraic equations. The illustrative examples are provided to demonstrate the applicability and simplicity of our scheme.
متن کاملMixed valence and superconductivity.
Mixed-valence (MV) systems are referred to here as MV-2 and MV-3 depending on whether two or three consecutive valence states are involved. MV-3 systems range from systems with Hubbard U>>0, corresponding to a single stable, intermediate valence state, and U<<0, corresponding to stable alternating valences differing by two units. Experiments using inelastic neutron scattering or inelastic X-ray...
متن کاملChallenges of Achieving Green Hospital Criteria: A Mixed Method Research in Iran
Background and Aim: Green Hospital is a concept that protects the environment from destructive human actions. It has emerged to achieve the goals of sustainable development, following the world wars, the industrial revolution, and the increment of environmental destruction. Further, Hospitals have moved towards the implementation of green hospital criteria according to their social responsibili...
