Green Extraction of Date Palm Fruits via Ultrasonic-Assisted Approach: Optimizations and Antioxidant Enrichments

Background: Green extraction involves using green solvents, such as water, to reduce energy consumption, avoid health and environmental hazards induce the quality quantity of extract. Date palm fruits are a vital source food medicinal activities, they contain high diversity phytochemicals, mainly phenolic flavonoid compounds. The main aim this study is investigate use water solvent, when assisted by different ultrasonic frequencies, in four cultivars date fruits, evaluating composition well antioxidant capacity Methods: Four fruits’ (Agwa, Anbarah, Khalas, Reziz) were extracted conventional methods (by ethanol) means, two 28 40 kHz, applying temperatures (30, 45, 60 °C), also measuring times (20, 40, min.). Response surface methodology was used for statistical analysis, three factors (temperature, time, frequency), responses (total content, total FRAP, ABTS), (categories). Results: Conventional obtained minimal compounds (up 52% ethanol extraction). This percent improved reach 60% heat utilized. application frequencies significantly enhanced phenolics/flavonoids ability extract nearly 90% 80%, respectively. kHz power managed more components; however, capacities less than Agwa Khalas demonstrated themselves be best ultrasonic-assisted extraction, depending on results optimized responses. Conclusion: could implemented industry produce enriched extracts with components and/or antioxidants.
