چکیده
The field of biotechnology presents us with a great chance to use many organisms, such as mushrooms, find suitable solutions for issues that include the accumulation agro-wastes in environment. green mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus L.) includes myco-remediation polluted soil and water well bio-fermentation. circular economy approach could be effectively achieved by using oyster L.), which substrate their cultivation is considered vital source producing biofertilizers, animal feeds, bioenergy, bio-remediators. Spent mushroom also crucial applications, including production enzymes (e.g., manganese peroxidase, laccase, lignin peroxidase) bioethanol. sustainable management agro-industrial wastes plant-based foods, animal-based non-food industries) reduce, reuse recycle mushrooms. This review aims focus on biotechnological applications (P. concerning pollutants bio-fermentation environmental protection. study can open new windows onto synthesis metal-nanoparticles, nano-silver, nano-TiO2 nano-ZnO. More investigations are needed approaches.

Ostreolysin enhances fruiting initiation in the oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus).
Fruiting initiation in mushrooms can be triggered by a variety of environmental and biochemical stimuli, including substances of natural or synthetic origin. In this work ostreolysin, a cytolytic protein specifically expressed during the formation of primordia and fruit bodies of Pleurotus ostreatus, was applied to nutrient media inoculated with mycelium of P. ostreatus, and its effects on myce...
متن کاملDEVELOPMENT OF A NEW COTTON WASTE COMPOSTING TECHNOLOGY FOR CULTIVATION OF OYSTER MUSHROOM (Pleurotus ostreatus)
This applicable research has successful selected enzyme Ctec2 from Novozyme (Denmark) which gave the best cellulose degradation activity compared to the other enzymes. At optimum conditions of 50 o C, pH=5 and ratio between enzyme and substrate (E/S) being 0.40%, 0.45%, 0.50%, the time needed to substrate degrade was 60 hours. Based on this finding, a new cotton waste composting technology for ...
متن کاملCharacterization of fluorescent pseudomonads responsible for the yellowing of oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus)
Fluorescent pseudomonads isolated from different lesions on caps and/or stipes of cultivated Pleurotus ostreatus were identified as strains of Pseudomonas tolaasii or showed the White Line Assay (WLA) feature of P. ‘reactans’ or were WLA-negative fluorescent Pseudomonas spp. Pseudomonas tolaasii was consistently associated with brown-reddish blotches on P. ostreatus pseudo-tissues, and in the p...
متن کاملAntioxidant Activities and Total Phenolic Content of Aqueous Extract of Pleurotus ostreatus (Cultivated Oyster Mushroom).
Pleurotus ostreatus better known as oyster mushroom is widely cultivated and consumed as food in Malaysia. The present study aims to assess the antioxidative potential and total phenolic content of P. ostreatus aqueous extract. The antioxidant activities were evaluated against DPPH and ABTS radical-scavenging activity, ferric-reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) and β-carotene-linoleate bleaching ...
متن کاملOstreopexin: a hemopexin fold protein from the oyster mushroom, Pleurotus ostreatus.
Proteins with hemopexin repeats are widespread in viruses, prokaryotes and eukaryotes. We report here for the first time the existence of a protein in fungi with the four-bladed β-propeller fold that is typical for hemopexin-like proteins. This protein was isolated from the edible basidiomycetous fungus Pleurotus ostreatus and is named ostreopexin. It binds to Ni(2+)-NTA-agarose, and is structu...
