Gravitational decoupling and superfluid stars

چکیده
Abstract The gravitational decoupling is applied to studying minimal geometric deformed (MGD) compact superfluid stars, in covariant logarithmic scalar gravity on fluid branes. brane finite tension shown provide more realistic values for the asymptotic value of mass function MGD besides constraining range self-interacting field, minimally coupled gravity. Several other physical features regulated by and a parameter, are derived discussed, with important corrections general-relativistic limit that corroborate current observational data.

Gravitational wave emission from rotating superfluid neutron stars
In this paper we investigate the effect of a pinned superfluid component on the gravitational wave emission of a steadily rotating deformed neutron star. We show that the superfluid pinning allows the possibility for there to be gravitational wave emission at both the stellar spin frequency Ω and its first harmonic, 2Ω. This contrasts with the conventional case where there is no pinned superflu...
متن کاملSuperfluid Neutron Stars
Neutrons stars are believed to contain in their interior superfluid neutrons and superconducting protons. This is suggested by nuclear physics calculations and by the very long relaxation time scales after ‘glitches’ (sudden increases of the neutron star angular velocity). Over the last years, we have been developing a formalism that can describe the relativistic hydrodynamics of mixtures of su...
متن کاملSuperfluid vortices in neutron stars
A microscopic, quantum mechanical model for neutron vortices in the crust of a neutron star is presented. After a brief introduction to the Bogoliubov-de Gennes equations, which form the basis for our calculations, we present results for density distributions, vortex core sizes and vortex energies, both for an isolated neutron vortex and for the case when the vortex core overlaps with a cylindr...
متن کاملGravitational vacuum condensate stars.
A new final state of gravitational collapse is proposed. By extending the concept of Bose-Einstein condensation to gravitational systems, a cold, dark, compact object with an interior de Sitter condensate p(v) = -rho(v) and an exterior Schwarzschild geometry of arbitrary total mass M is constructed. These regions are separated by a shell with a small but finite proper thickness l of fluid with ...
