Grassy-floral soil covering as a tool for increasing herbaceous diversity in agroforestry

Intensive agricultural technologies lead to a simplification of landscape and decrease in biodiversity. Besides economic benefits, alley cropping might increase species richness, improving pollination agriculture. In this research, traditional apricot plantation combined with crop fields was studied Burgenland, focused on herbaceous diversity composition, which have crucial role promoting pollination. The vegetation the grassy strips under tree rows compared control grass habitats. results show that loose canopy layer fruit trees promotes appearance several species, more diverse understory plantation. However, intensity management significantly impacts richness composition vegetation.
