The search for technological solutions to the ever-increasing demand ultra-high-quality concrete with simultaneous construction boom represents one of greatest challenges researchers are facing nowadays. In view their unique properties, graphene and related materials, when utilized form graphene-based cementitious composites, appear be powerful components give a boost today's technology. this review, most enlightening recent advancements in development fabrication protocols obtaining homogenous dispersion derivatives thereof within cement matrix showcased. hydration process basic properties materials also discussed. integration graphene-family technology allows new functions imparted composites toward smart multifunctional buildings. Therefore, specific focus is given electrical piezoresistive behavior graphene-cement ultimately great potential structural health monitoring applications. approaches proposed review can extended other 2D offering broadest arsenal physical which therefore integrated on-demand future structures constructions.
