چکیده

Abstract This research focuses on the development of utilizing Grade-C kenaf fibers (poor quality) produced from plantations in Pesanggarahan village, Lamongan regency, Indonesia, to produce alternative textile materials for craft and products. High-quality have been utilized automotive, pulp paper, geotextile industries, while low-quality are considered less potential only used as gunny sacks. was conducted through an exploration experimental approach, dividing process into four stages, namely: (1) scouring stage using standard degumming cellulose fibers; (2) testing strength elongation (3) bleaching (4) with design approach create yarn fabric weaving crochet techniques, results were quantitatively tested identify their mechanical physical properties. is beneficial a solution add value material trends

All-Polyamide Composite Coated-Fabric as an Alternative Material of Construction for Textile-Bioreactors (TBRs)

All-polyamide composite coated-fabric (APCCF) was used as an alternative material for the construction of textile-bioreactors (TBRs), which are prepared as a replacement of the traditional stainless steel bioreactors (SSBRs) or concrete-based bioreactors. The material characteristics, as well as the fermentation process performance of the APCCF-TBR, was compared with a TBR made using the polyvi...

Prospects of Kenaf as an Alternative Field Crop in Virginia

Kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L. ), a warm-season annual plant, has shown potential as an alternate source of fiber in the United States. Although preliminary research has indicated feasibility ofkenaf production in Virginia, production details are lacking. Field experiments were conducted during 1995 and 1996 to determine optimal row spacing and fertilizer needs, and to compare available kenaf cu...

ß-tricalcium Phosphate Granules as an Alternative Material for Ocular Implantation

Background: Some types of implants used for orbital implantation have side effects and complications. In this study we have evaluated beta-tricalcium phosphate (ß-TCP: ChronOS) granules as an orbital implant. Methods: Eighteen rabbits randomly allocated to four groups. Right eye enucleation performed in groups I to III followed by filling with autologous bone particles (n=5), a mixture of autol...
