چکیده
The authors of this article describe the results GPR tests for indicating layers snow strata and determining their properties, allowing forecasting avalanche hazards. were carried out during winter season 2021/2022. Trenches dug in snow, wall which long metal rods (markers) installed, are reflectors make it possible to distinguish boundaries on radarogram. As a result conducting sounding cover, radarograms obtained, layered structure can be read. Using GeoScan32 software, dielectric permittivity values obtained 19 with different properties. Correlations between temperature, crystal diameter, layer density, water storage. resulting relationships reveal strongest correlations higher correlation coefficient dry than wet snow. from also compared calculated derived number empirical density.

Next level for snow pack monitoring in real-time using Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology
Currently available snow pack monitoring methods are limited due to spatial resolution or to adequate weather and secure avalanche conditions. Snow pack monitoring is impossible if the method is destructive as snow probing and thereby the use for avalanche forecasts limited. Ultrasonic snow height sensors are not feasible for an application in snow deposition areas along ridges or in avalanche ...
متن کاملStrong spatial variability of snow accumulation observed with helicopter-borne GPR on two adjacent Alpine glaciers
This study compares high-resolution helicopter-borne radar measurements to extensive groundbased profiling of the snow cover on Findeland Adler Glacier, Switzerland. The results demonstrate that derived accumulation values of either method are well in accordance. The spatial distribution of radar based snow depth allows a clear distinction of three zones of different accumulation characteristic...
متن کاملA stability indicating capillary electrophoresis method for analysis of buserelin
A simple and rapid stability indicating method based on capillary zone electrophoresis has been developed and validated for the analysis of buserelin (BUS). The best separations were achieved by using a bare fused silica capillary (75 m i.d.; 65.5 cm total, 57.0 cm effective length), phosphate buffer (pH = 3.00; 26.4 mM), at 35 °C. The sample was hydrodynamically injected at 50 mbar for 5 seco...

متن کاملResults from a forward-looking GPR mine detection system
In previous papers, we reported on the high-resolution ground-penetrating radar system designed, built, and deployed by SRI under contract to the Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate at Fort Belvoir. Here, we report on some of the latest test results from the field demonstrations performed at government test sites, carefully designed to produce statistically significant results by em...
