Global warming potential of building constructions based on heat and moisture transport analysis

Global warming potential is one of the most important life cycle assessment indicator, which shows how much heat a greenhouse gas traps in atmosphere relative to CO2. In this study, we calculated global highly insulated building construction detail residential nearly-zero energy based on numerical simulations. To calculate loss constructions, necessary for estimating operational demand use phase building, compared two simulation methods: 2-D thermal simulations and conjugated moisture transfer simula?tions. Besides that, effect selecting different insulation materials insulating such as EPS, mineral wool, wood wool. We then linear transmittances from besides evaluating transmittance behaviour constructions. all examined scenarios, constructions with wool ended up being highest impact alternative, while EPS was lowest walls wall corner joints. also found that including joints calculations could increase overall an average-sized family house by 10%. Our study induced differences between insulations, demonstrates modelling-based indicator details gives valuable additional information designers choose proper insulation.
