GIS-based framework to manage Whole-Body Vibration exposure

A large number of workers are exposed to Whole-Body Vibration (WBV) on a daily basis. In the construction sector, risk associated with vibration exposure is high as driving vehicles in areas unpaved-roads or uneven surfaces very common activity. Drivers may be levels WBV, which lead development musculoskeletal disorders. Accordingly, this study developed GIS-based methodological framework reduce and manage WBV process routes design. The framework, providing optimal route using least-cost path analysis optimising criteria travelled time exposure, was established. methods set out EU-Directive 2002/44/EC ISO2631-5:2018 applied. case conducted order illustrate proposed framework. information provided by can used companies safety management protect from excessive exposure.
