Gifted students' value perceptions: differentiation to socio-demographic variables

In Turkiye, Science and Art Centers (SACs) operate affiliated to the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) in order develop individual talents raise awareness gifted students preschool, primary school, secondary school high without disrupting their regular schooling. It is great importance for not only happiness children but also entire society identify them at an early age educate as required by personal abilities. The aim this study examine value perceptions studying SACs against selected variables. a survey research designs. sample consists 712 attending 14 different provinces determined with maximum diversity sampling method. data were collected using “Perceptions Values Scale” developed Beldağ (2012) comprised seven sub-dimensions. Data analysis was performed applying t-test One-Way Analysis Variance. As result, variables gender, mother's education level, grade TV program(s) watched, interests (hobbies) found affect acquisition students. light results, it recommended include more values practices contents taught SACs.
