Giant cervicomediastinal non-functioning parathyroid cyst: A rare case

Parathyroid cysts of cervicomediastinal location are rare with only a few cases reported in the international literature. We present case parathyroid cyst 57 years old female gradually increasing neck swelling and dysphagia. Examination revealed about 5 cm anterior which moves swallowing. Blood results including tumor markers calcium levels were all unremarkable. Chest radiography noted visible mass cervicothoracic sign right tracheal deviation. A computed tomography showed large mediastinal cystic left supraclavicular extension, size x10 x 14cm pushing trachea to side from thyroid cartilage till carina level. She successfully underwent subtotal thyroidectomy (for coexisting nodules) median sternotomy excision. Operative histopathological examination cyst. The patient’s symptoms relieved after surgery. can therefore as cause lesion.
