چکیده
In plant breeding and agricultural research, biplot analysis has become an important statistical technique. The goal of this study was to find the winning genotype(s) for test settings in a part Southwest region Nigeria, as well investigate nature extent genotype × environment interaction (GEI) effects on Bambara groundnut (BGN) production. experiment carried out four environments (two separate sites, Ibadan Ikenne, two consecutive years, 2018 2019) with ninety-five BGN accessions. According combined variance over environments, genotypes GEI both had substantial (p < 0.001) impact yield. results revealed that accessions performed differently different conditions, indicating crossover nature. To examine show pattern components, biplots main effect were used. first PCs explained 80% total variation GGE model (i.e., G + GE) (PC1 = 48.59%, PC2 31.41%). best each based “which-won-where” polygon TVSu-2031, TVSu-1724, TVSu-1742, TVSu-2022, TVSu-1943, TVSu-1892, TVSu-1557, TVSu-2060, TVSu-2017. Among these accessions, TVSu-2017, TVSu-1943 among highest-yielding field. adaptable TVSu-1763, TVSu-1899, TVSu-2019, TVSu-1898, TVSu-1957, TVSu-2021, TVSu-1850, stable TVSu-1589, TVSu-1905, TVSu-2048. terms discriminating representativeness 2019 is deemed be superior environment. selected are recommended parental lines programs grain yield improvement or Ikenne similar agro-ecological zones.

متن کاملGGE Biplot Analysis of Genotype × Environment Interaction in Wheat-Agropyron Disomic Addition Lines
Identification of the genetic architecture of phenotypic stability and management of adaptational genes is a prerequisite for improvement of adaptation. To locate the genes controlling adaptation, disomic addition lines of agropyron (agropyron elongatum, 2n=2x=14) into the genetic background of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L., 2n=6x=42, cv. ‘Chinese Spring’=CS) were used in a randomized compl...

Testing plant varieties under different regions is necessary to assess their stability. In this study, 17 sugar beet genotypes were evaluated in a randomized complete block design with six replications in five regions including Karaj, Hamedan, Miandoab, Mashhad, and Shiraz. After checking the homogeneity of mean squares in five experiments by Bartlett’s test, analysis of the combined was per...
متن کاملBiplot Analysis of Genotype × Environment Interaction: Proceed with Caution
Biplot analysis has been used for studying genotype × environment interaction (GE) or any two-way table. Its descriptive and visualization capabilities along with the availability of userfriendly software have enabled plant scientists to examine any two-way data by a click on a computer button. Despite widespread use, the validity and limitations of biplot analysis have not been completely exam...
