چکیده
Abiotic variables are crucial for seed germination and seedling development. In the present work, we attempted to determine optimal conditions (temperature, water, density, fungal growth) sunflower development (Helianthus annus L. Larissza). The of seeds was investigated under controlled at eight consistent temperatures: 5 °C, 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 °C. For water test, there were 12 levels based on one-milliliter intervals 18 thousand kernel weight (TKW). addition, four densities (6, 8, 10, 12) two antifungal application techniques (sterilization growing medium) examined. results showed that temperature has a significant effect germination, timing, Temperatures between degrees Celsius with being Beginning 0.6 mL, or 125% TKW, can germinate wide range availability. (8.2–11.4) is wider than dry matter accumulation, which 5.8–8.2 mL 1000–1625% TKW. finding density per 9 cm Petri dish demonstrates most exceptional values advantageous future research breeding projects, particularly when scarce. Seed priming more effective technique other techniques.

Sunflower (helianthus Annuus L.) Response to Drought Stress at Germination and Seedling Growth Stages
Response of six sunflower hybrids/ breeding lines viz., G-101, SF-187, Hysun-33, Hysun-38, 64A-93 and S-278 to drought stress imposed at germination and seedling growth stages was investigated in a laboratory experiment (25±3C). Five water stress levels of zero (control), -0.35, -0.6, -1.33, and 1.62 MPa were developed using polyethyleneglycol-6000 (PEG-6000). Complete randomized design with th...
متن کاملEffects of Salinity, Temperature, and Polyethylene Glycol on the Seed Germination of Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)
Salinization has severe influences on agriculture in the whole world. The main aims of this work were to evaluate osmotic effect and ion effect of NaCl on seed germination of three sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) cultivars interacting with three alternating temperature regimes and to select the most salt tolerant cultivars to plant in the saline region. Seeds were germinated in the isotonic Na...
متن کاملEffect of salinity on seed germination, seedling growth, and inorganic and organic solutes accumulation in sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)
To investigate the effects of saline stress on seed germination, ion distribution, and organic solutes changes of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.), in the present study, seeds and 3-week-old seedlings were subjected to a series of external NaCl concentrations (5–200 mmol). The results showed that high salinity (200 mmol) remarkably inhibited the germination of seed and delayed germination time ...
متن کاملMorphological and molecular responses of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) lines to drought stress
Drought stress is a serious adverse factor limiting growth and productivity of sunflower. Evaluation of defense systems is important for producing resistant cultivars. In this study, some agro-morphological and molecular characteristics of six sunflower lines were evaluated under normal and irrigation at 40 and 60% of field capacity in randomized complete block design (RCBD). The results showed...
متن کاملPriming-induced metabolic changes in sunflower (Helianthus annuus) achenes improve germination and seedling growth
Seed priming improves vigor, but priming agents may differ greatly in their effectiveness. The present study was performed to unravel the physiological basis of vigor improvement by priming sunflower achenes with pre-optimized levels of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), salicylic acid (SA), thiourea (TU), gibberellic acid (GA3), ascorbic acid (AA), sodium chloride (NaCl), freezing and heating. Most of ...
