The purpose of this study is to identify the leading causes slope instability along a local highway in Anhui, People’s Republic China. As part east expansion project, mountain range will be excavated create two-way, nearly 30 m wide highway. site’s topography consists hill with palm-shaped faces carved from limestone running its sides. geological characteristics and stability research area highlight possibility failure both sides roadway. Slope analysis was performed order determine mechanism stable slope. Initial characterization shear properties rock were determined by means fieldwork laboratory analysis. By causing wedging toppling collapse, bedding joints discontinuity orientations increase instability, as kinematic DIP.6 software. Limit Equilibrium Method (LEM) presented software Slide 6.020 illustrate unstable condition slopes using empirical methods that validated enhanced limit equilibrium
