Geometrical Optimization of a Venturi-Type Microbubble Generator Using CFD Simulation and Experimental Measurements

Microbubble generators are of considerable importance to a range scientific fields from use in aquaculture and engineering medical applications. This is due the fact amount sea life water proportional oxygen it. In this paper, experimental measurements computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation performed for three flow rates with different air rates. The data presented paper used validate CFD model. Then, model study effect diverging angle throat length/throat diameter ratio on size microbubble produced by Venturi-type generator. results showed that increasing rate reducing produces smaller microbubbles. prediction indicated diffuser divergent have small bubble distribution average velocities study.
